MISSION: Futuro Health launched in 2020 to address the critical shortage of workers in the healthcare sector. Our nonprofit mission is to improve the health and wealth of communities by growing the largest network of allied healthcare workers in the nation. Initially funded by a significant investment from Kaiser Permanente through a collective bargaining agreement with SEIU-UHW, Futuro Health has since grown to include a portfolio of funders, grants, and contracts in support of our life changing work. Position Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Account Manager who will be our first sales hire - shaping our sales processes and building strategic partnerships with healthcare employers and stakeholders. In this role, you will drive outbound sales, onboard new healthcare system customers, and nurture long-term relationships that fuel our growth.


The Account Manager operates on a fee-for-service model, ensuring the successful creation and maintenance of strategic partnerships that drive workforce development in the healthcare sector. Reporting to the Chief Workforce Officer, this position works closely with current and prospective partners and members of the Futuro Health Team. 


The Account Manager builds and nurtures relationships with partners and coordinates resources, programming, events, projects, meetings, and information consistent with the values and mission of Futuro Health.


This role starts as a single contributor but may add direct reports over time.


Essential Job Functions


Key Responsibilities:


Outbound sales and relationship management:

  • Proactively identify and engage prospective healthcare systems and community organizations through outbound prospecting.
  • Manage the full sales cycle - from lead generation and prospecting to closing deals - ensuring client satisfaction and retention.
  • Onboard new healthcare system customers onto our platform and serve as their primary point of contact.

Strategic partnership development:

  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with healthcare systems and related stakeholders nationwide.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to design and implement effective education-to-employment career path programs tailored to partner needs.
  • Monitor industry trends and provide insights to enhance our service offerings.

Program execution and oversight:

  • Develop, manage, and monitor strategic plans including timelines, budgets, contracts, and deliverables.
  • Utilize CRM and project management tools to track partner engagement and project progress.
  • Organize and participate in stakeholder meetings, ensuring clear communication and follow-up on action items.

Reporting and analysis:

  • Create weekly and monthly performance reports documenting account progress, new agreements, partner activities, and conversion rates.
  • Design and maintain dashboards that consolidate key performance data to inform strategic decisions.

Programming, Events, and Outreach:

  • Provide outstanding customer service and communications with partners via phone, virtual meetings, email, and face-to-face interactions.
  • Represent Futuro Health at key conferences, industry events, and activities.
  • Build strong relationships to retain current partners, acquire new partners, and explore opportunities to deepen partnerships.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure all partner requests are fulfilled on time.
  • Continuously track and improve internal and external processes.
  • Act as the single point of contact to ensure all agreed-upon expectations and deliverables are met.

Research:

  • Develop and execute a strategic retention and growth plan for every current and new partner account.
  • Research best practices and models and collect and analyze data to improve partner services.
  • Research outreach opportunities to extend partnerships nationally and within identified professions.

Essential Skills and Experiences:

  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Ability to design marketing materials in collaboration with the Marketing and Communication team.
  • Ability to listen and collaborate with partners to discover unique partnership opportunities.
  • High level of judgment, diplomacy, discretion, and professionalism.
  • Exceptional written, presentation, and verbal communication skills.
  • Comprehensive organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong technical competency and working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships and communications at all levels of the organization.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work effectively alone and within a team environment.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in account management, sales, or business development, preferably in the healthcare or education sector.
  • Demonstrated expertise in building a multi-million-dollar revenue stream from inception.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and building strong client relationships.
  • Strong understanding of the healthcare industry, academics, workforce development, and training programs.
  • Experience building, nurturing, and managing multiple relationships simultaneously.
  • Project management experience using clear work plans and precise communications.
  • Experience with fee-for-service models preferred.
  • Experience working in complex and collaborative work environments.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field/experience.
  • Preferred: Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or a related field.

Supervisory Responsibility: This role may have supervisory responsibility over staff over time, although not initially.


Work Environment/Travel: This is a remote role. Collaborative and supportive team culture. Significant role-specific travel will be required in addition to some travel to attend organizational meetings. 


Physical Demands: Able to sit, stand, and type for long periods of time. Ability to work irregular hours including after hours and weekends although this will be infrequent. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. 


Position Type: This position is full-time, exempt. The hours may include weekends, nights, and holidays.

Salary Description
$110,000 - $120,000 annually
