Ensure continuous operation of the related production area to safely meet production and quality requirements.
Insure all procedures are being followed as written. Make up tool change schedule and be involved in all tool changes. Assist in the training of new machine operators and complete required reports to help monitor continuous improvement.
Education and Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred but not required

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Executes a continuous flow of material to enable timely production (70%)
• Performs production quality checks (15%)
• Maintains a clean work environment (10%)
• Completes documentation requirements (5%)
• May be required to have or obtain training in particular materials, products, equipment or quality methods
Executes a continuous flow of material to enable timely production
• Maintain pace with other team members to ensure steady flow of products
• Operates production machines in a safe and efficient manner
• Performs tool changes

Performs quality checks
• Conducts quality checks and inspections
• Follows all instructions and quality procedures
• Visually inspects parts
• Lift work pieces manually or with hoist and position and secure it in the fixture
• May adjust machine and change worn tooling
Maintains a clean working environment; follows 5S Cleaning System Pillars
• Sort- remove all items from an area that are not needed for current operations
• Set in order- arrange and label needed items so that they are easy to use, find and put away
• Shine- sweep or mop floors, wipe off machinery, make sure everything stays clean
• Standardize- method you use to maintain the items described above
• Sustain- making a habit of properly maintaining correct procedures
Completes documentation requirements
• Performs inventory scanning and tracking activities related to the production work cell
• Executes all documentation requirements
• Must pack work pieces as required
• Fill out daily production reports
• Housekeeping
• Regularly scheduled follow up training and competency evaluation will take place annually and be included with an employee’s annual evaluation summary and maintained by HR in the employee records.
• Required to follow any other instructions and to perform any other duties upon request of the supervisor
• When necessary, participate in classes and training seminars to learn new technologies and techniques deemed helpful to performance on the job

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
• The job works in conditions with frequent exposure to loud noise, heavy lifting, heavy overhead lifting, heavy machinery and sharp tools.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Standing 70% -80% of the time; walking
• Bending, crouching, twisting and reaching required
• The person in this environment with multiple priorities. There is no travel required to fulfill this position.
