Avarint’s Chemical Sciences Group is seeking a Project Manager to support the Special Programs Division team in conducting Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDT&E) at Dugway Proving Ground, UT. Primary duties will include:

  • Leading multi-disciplinary teams of scientists, engineers, and technicians in the design, planning, and execution of complex test and training programs. 
  • Review customer contract work orders (CWOs) requirements, develop and follow task implementation plans (TIPs,) and provide technical expertise for the design and execution of testing and training programs.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in the presentation of operational and technical matters through presentations and practical demonstrations.
  • Developing analysis reports that include methods, procedures, and analytical data including interpretation of results and annotating the file documentation; and performing technical reviews of files, reports, data sets, results, and conclusions.
  • Maintaining a safe work environment in accordance with all documented procedures.


The position also requires that the selected candidate possess:  

  • Excellent organizational skills and communication skills (oral and written) and the ability to appropriately communicate with colleagues, management and clients to plan and execute duties.
  • Deep attention to detail and the flexibility and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Requirements

  

THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS MUST BE MET TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in physical or biological sciences, or engineering; or equivalent combination of educational and military experience.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of project/program management experience with DoD contracts.
  • Active DoD Top Secret security clearance.
  • Experience communicating, designing, and conducting testing and training programs.
  • Demonstrated experience leading multi-disciplinary teams, coordinating multiple organizations and technical efforts, and executing multiple technical directives.
  • Experience with the development of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and monitoring program execution (cost, schedule, performance) through earned value management principles. 
  • Experience with Microsoft Office software including MS Project, Word, Outlook, Exce,l and PowerPoint. 


THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS ARE DESIRED BUT NOT REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION:

· Military operational experience.
