Description

The IT Technician will be responsible for maintaining and assisting in the management the church’s technology systems, including hardware, software, and network infrastructure. This position will provide hands-on support for the church’s technological needs, IT systems for office staff, and digital platforms for online services. The ideal candidate will be skilled in troubleshooting, maintenance, and support, ensuring smooth operations for all technological aspects of the church.

  • Must give testimony and evidence of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and sense the call of God to a serving ministry.
  • Maintain and monitor church network infrastructure (Wi-Fi, routers, switches, etc.) to ensure reliable connectivity.
  • Support and troubleshoot server and computer systems for office staff and ministries.
  • Regularly update and patch software to ensure security and functionality.
  • Set up and operate equipment for services, events, and ministry meetings.
  • Provide technical support to church staff, volunteers, and ministry leaders regarding IT issues (e.g., software, hardware, printer malfunctions).
  • Maintain an inventory of all IT-related equipment, including computers, tablets, audio/visual gear, and accessories.
  • Responds to repair and maintenance requests in a professional and timely fashion
  • Work in cooperation with all levels of management, support staff, personnel, church leaders, volunteers, members and guests to fulfil the mission of Indian Rocks


Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred. 
  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in IT support, preferably in a church, nonprofit, or similar environment.
  • Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods standing and walking.
  • Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
  • Skills: Proficiency with network management, troubleshooting, and security protocols. Strong knowledge of hardware and software installation, configuration, and maintenance.

  • Must be an active member of Indian Rocks as defined below:
  • Regular attendance in worship services
  • Regular attendance/involvement in an Indian Rocks Connection Group or Small Group
  • Committed to systematic stewardship and faithful in tithing.
  • Responsible to perform the other duties as assigned and approved by supervising personnel to include, but not limited to: Lead Pastor, Church Administrator, Associate Pastors, Generations Pastor or Personnel Committee
