The Studio Set Builder supports the day-to-day operations of the studio team department, which set construction and maintenance, material management, and collaboration with the creative team to understand project requirements. - High school diploma or equivalent education required
- Work with photography studio staff to build props and sets as needed
- Collaborate with the creative team to understand project requirements and develop set designs that align with our clients' visions.
- Transform raw materials into visually captivating, high-quality set pieces that elevate our photography work.
- Manage material sourcing, inventory, and budgeting for set construction projects.
- Ensure the timely completion of set construction projects to meet project deadlines.
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized workshop environment.
- Strong carpentry skills, including the ability to read blueprints, use hand and power tools, and construct various types of structures.
- Ability to identify and resolve problems that arise during construction.
- Ability to communicate effectively with Studio Manager, Photographers, and other crew members.
- Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines.
- Previous experience in construction or carpentry is a plus.
- Experience using standard hand, power, and wood working tools
- Self-starter with the ability to complete tasks under limited supervision
- Assist with general building maintenance as time allows
Physical Requirements
- Requires use of proper body mechanics with pushing, pulling, reaching, lifting, squatting, kneeling and bending
- Pushing/pulling and lifting up to 50 lbs
- Requires fine motor hand and arm movement, manual dexterity and coordination
- Requires near visual acuity
- Requires working around and operating departmental equipment
- Must be able to access and navigate each department in the facility
- Requires the ability to function in a professional manner under stressful circumstances

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes, airborne particles, hazardous materials, and outdoor elements.
