Zero dB Communications (ZdB) is a leading fiber optic full turnkey contractor headquartered in Spokane Washington with offices throughout the West Coast specializing in splicing/testing and placing fiber optic cables. Job duties include splicing fiber optic cables in both outdoor and indoor settings as well as testing, troubleshooting, reading, creating and maintaining splicing schematics and diagrams. Individuals in this role must be comfortable working with customers and technology on a daily basis. This position will be reporting to our Westminster, Colorado office.

Pay: $20.00 - $40.00 per hour based on experience
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- At least 1 year of previous experience in the fiber optic field. Experience in underground and aerial splicing is preferred. Experience in Project Management a plus.
- Valid driver’s license with a driving record that meets company’s minimum safety standard.
- Strong computer skills with Microsoft applications.
- In-depth understanding of technology-based services, products and networking.
- ER Troubleshooting experience.
- Desirable work experience includes field engineering and project lead responsibility. OTDR experience is a plus.
- Safety oriented and able to follow safety requirements.
- Able to meet physical requirements: climb ladders, work in confined spaces and/or various heights, lift and/or move up to 50 lbs., squat, kneel, bend, crawl and stand for long periods of time.
- Enjoy working outdoors in all types of weather.
- Self-starter with positive attitude and willingness to work.
Schedule:
- Required to work a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- 8-hour shift, Monday – Friday, mostly days and some nights depending on the project.
- Willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed in addition to regular travel.
- Travel will be required and may be up to 10% depending on business needs.
Employment is contingent on successful completion of a pre-employment screen, to include a drug test and an acceptable driving record. This is a safety sensitive position.
