PURPOSE OF POSITION
The Head of Technology is responsible for creating Definiti’s technology strategy and supporting infrastructure in a nimble and high growth environment. Having a high-level knowledge of cybersecurity standards will be considered a plus. This position reports to the CEO and is an active member of the Executive Committee.
The Head of Technology defines and oversees automation development, leveraging tools and vendors to implement automation within the company. The Head of Technology partners with leaders throughout the company to identify opportunities and implement solutions. The executive leads a team to support execution, manages production support, and leverages outsource partners to ensure an efficient cost structure and highest quality outcomes for the company’s remote workforce. Additionally, the candidate would be supporting data governance, business continuity and IT admin activities as necessary.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Aligns business and technology strategy; Designs and implements infrastructure for scale
- Ensures organizational adherence and continuous improvement
- Partners with vendors and technology providers to stay ahead of industry trends and innovations
- Lead a team to establish best practices, governance, and compliance frameworks for technology adoption
- Identify, assess, and prioritize business processes for automation, ensuring alignment with corporate goals
- Collaborate with departments to integrate AI, ML, and cognitive automation solution
- Oversee the selection, implementation, and scaling of intelligent automation platforms (e.g., UiPath, Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere)
- Champions change management and adoption of automation across departments, ensuring smooth transitions
- Oversees cyber and data security program, help desk management and MSP
- Manages to budget expectations and identifies opportunities to be more efficient
- Manages transitions and integrations of acquired companies which include remote employees and support for office locations
COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Eager to engage with clients and partners, and comfortable communicating technical issues and resolution status with non-technical individuals
- Experience managing technology budgets, including IT projects
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED required
- Bachelor's degree required
- Experience leading IT teams with a strategic and hands-on approach for 300+ users
- 10+ years of IT leadership experience, with a strong focus on enterprise applications, infrastructure, and security
- Proven track record of managing third-party applications and cloud-based technology stacks
- Expertise in IT governance, cybersecurity, vendor management, and enterprise architecture
- Strong understanding of regulatory compliance requirements (SOC 2, GDPR, etc.)
- Ability to travel up to 10%

- Have access to a reliable and consistently strong, high-speed internet connection suitable for remote work. A stable, high-speed internet connection is essential for effective communication, collaboration, and productivity while working remotely
- Designate a quiet, and well-lit space free of as many distractions as possible
- Be online and available to work during designated business hours in local time zone
- Accustomed to using Microsoft Teams (or similar virtual-meeting applications) to meet with colleagues regularly on video and use the chat feature for quick communications. We utilize many Microsoft Teams features (such as Channels and file storage) for announcements, relevant conversations, and file sharing. Familiarity with Microsoft Teams is a plus
- Accustomed with file-storage and file-sharing tools such as Microsoft SharePoint
