This this role the Referral Coordinator is responsible for processing, scheduling, obtaining prior authorization and tracking of all medical, dental or other referral requests and authorizations from primary care providers, dentists and other specialists and vendors
- Monday through Friday 9:00am - 1:00pm - 0.5FTE
- $20.79-$22.39 Per Hour DOE

- High School Diploma or GED or equivalent combination of job experience and education.
- 1-5 years previous work experience performing general clerical, data entry and customer service duties, preferably in referrals within an outpatient primary care clinic.
- Experience using electronic health records systems.
- Ability to work with a low-income, multi-ethnic patient population and a demonstrated ability to
- relate respectfully and effectively to people of diverse racial, educational and socio-economic backgrounds.
- Must be a confident, self-directed, detail-oriented individual who can work within a team as well as independently.
- Strong communication, organization, documentation and record keeping skills necessary.
- ICD/CPT coding knowledge preferred.
