Summary of the Position
The production supervisor is responsible for daily production execution in alignment with the build plan. This role ensures that manufacturing operations run efficiently by overseeing personnel on the same work hours, coordinating workflows, running tier meetings, and resolving production issues. The role also maintains compliance with quality and safety standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Manufacturing Execution
- Lead daily production operations to meet build plan targets.
- Ensure adequate staffing, resources, and materials to support production schedules.
- Run tier meetings to report production progress, delays, and issues affecting output.
- Monitor and enforce adherence to production processes and quality standards.
- Work closely with the production team to resolve bottlenecks and production challenges.
- Minimize production downtime by coordinating with engineering, quality, and operations personnel.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Supervise and support a team of assemblers and technicians.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and training to develop team capabilities.
- Monitor and evaluate team performance, providing feedback and corrective actions as needed.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, high-output, and continuous improvement.
Process Improvement & Compliance:
- Drive daily adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and quality system requirements.
- Drive production volume growth and efficiency improvements across multiple product lines.
- Sustain operational efficiency initiatives, including lean manufacturing practices and line balancing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve production workflows and reduce waste.
- Enforce workplace safety policies and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Directly manage technicians and assemblers, ensuring performance expectations are met.
- Conduct regular check-ins, performance evaluations, and coaching sessions.
- Partner with the OPS Manager to align workforce planning and development initiatives.
Education and Required Experience
- High school diploma
- 10+ years of manufacturing experience in the medical device field or related technical field or 5+ years of leadership or supervisory experience in operations.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Working knowledge of the medical device industry.
- Working knowledge of quality system standards.
- Experienced with GMP, GDP, & eLHR systems.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- High level of initiative and ownership.
- Required to stand, walk and sit; talk or hear; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms.
- Required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
- Subject to extended periods of sitting and/or standing, vision to monitor, and moderate noise levels.

Salary Range
$117,000 - $120,000*
*Base pay is one part of your total compensation.
The final starting salary offer to the successful candidate will be determined by evaluating several factors, but not limited to experience, knowledge, skills, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
