We are seeking a detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Capital Solutions Team Leader, overseeing daily activities of an assigned team of people within our Capital Solutions group. In this role, you will report to the Capital Solutions Group Manager and lead a team committed to delivering exceptional, consistent services to our clients. As a Team Leader, you will ensure that the accuracy and quality work delivered by your respective group is aligned with the highest quality standards across the organization, driving consistency at every level.


A Capital Solutions Team Leader is a dynamic individual with a servant leadership mindset that is responsible for cultivating a coaching culture and ensuring high standards in project execution and client satisfaction. 


HRG’s Capital Solutions group offers a diverse set of technical and consulting services that complement, support, and enhance our traditional engineering and planning services. Services provided by the Capital Solutions group include but are not limited to: technical financial services such as budget modeling, rate studies, tapping fee studies and valuations; stormwater utility implementation and program management; and strategic municipal consulting and funding procurement. 


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and Inspire: Coach, lead, and inspire Capital Solutions staff on technical matters, providing expert guidance and fostering a collaborative, results-driven culture. Leading a team to successfully deliver quality projects, including managing schedules, budgets, deliverables, and resources.
  • Align & Optimize: Monitor Capital Solutions group contract backlog and resource needs, recommending adjustments in staff, equipment, and resources to the Group Manager. Monitor employees and workload to achieve target productivity ratio. Collaborate with other Service Groups on projects requiring Capital Solutions involvement. 
  • Ensure Quality Excellence: Collaborate with the Group Manager and Service Area Vice President to inform the development of      and adherence to the service group's Quality Management Plan, ensuring that quality standards, processes, and procedures are implemented amongst the team and throughout projects.
  • Client Relations: Build and maintain strong client relationships to ensure delivery excellence and satisfaction.
Requirements

 

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, Accounting, Business Management, Planning, or similar technical degree.
  • 5 years professional experience in local government/authority consulting, engineering, financial management, community planning, economic development, or state/local government required.
  • Proven leadership experience in the AEC industry, including client and employee relations, business development, marketing, proposal preparation, project budgeting, quality management, and project delivery.
  • Self-starter with strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, time management, and critical thinking skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
  • Effective utilization of common business platforms such as Microsoft Office Suite, virtual meeting tools, etc. Prior experience with Deltek Vantagepoint or financial management software preferred.
  • Ability to travel as needed (on average 20-40% of the time) by car, train, or air.
  • Legal right to work in the U.S. and a valid Driver’s License.

   

Desired Qualifications:

  • Pennsylvania Professional Engineering license.
  • Direct experience with the preparation of technical financial services, primarily for local government authorities, including but not limited to rate studies, tapping fee studies, self-liquidating debt reports, budget models, capital improvement plans, and valuations.
  • Previous people management or team leadership experience
