Position: Policy Support Service Representative
Position Summary
The Policy Support Service Representative is responsible for accurately processing insurance endorsements, cancellations, and policy changes in compliance with underwriting guidelines. This role requires strong attention to detail and clear communication with internal teams and brokers to ensure timely and accurate processing.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
· Process endorsements accurately across all lines of business.
· Manage and process policy cancellations while ensuring compliance with company guidelines.
· Collaborate with underwriting and service teams on mid-term cancellations and endorsements related to renewals.
· Escalate complex issues or concerns beyond authority to underwriting.
· Communicate proactively with brokers and underwriters to clarify policy details and request additional information.
· Serve as backup support to other Policy Support Service Representatives to maintain departmental service standards.
· Test and provide feedback on new system applications and procedural updates.
· Assist with administrative tasks to support underwriting and service teams as needed.
Qualifications & Skills
· A high school diploma is required; some college coursework in business, finance, or insurance- related fields is preferred.
· Property & Casualty license preferred or obtain one within six (6) months of employment.
· At least 12 months of commercial lines rating experience or equivalent experience with an insurance carrier.
· Proficiency in Commercial Lines Insurance
· Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational, analytical, and mathematical skills.
· Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.
Physical Requirements
· Ability to work in an office setting, including prolonged sitting and computer use.
· Clear verbal communication skills for interacting with team members, brokers, and customers.
