We are seeking a highly skilled and automation-focused Software QA Specialist to ensure the quality and reliability of mission-critical systems in IoT, industrial automation, and automotive manufacturing environments. This role combines deep backend testing expertise with front-end validation and automation across a wide tech stack, including connected devices, enterprise integrations, and factory floor systems. 

You’ll be responsible for designing and implementing robust test strategies, including automation frameworks for both UI and system-level testing, across embedded, web, and enterprise platforms. 

  Key Responsibilities: 

• Design, implement, and maintain automated test suites for front-end and back-end components using industry-standard frameworks and custom tools. 
• Conduct functional, integration, regression, performance, and stress testing for systems interacting over: 
• HTTP, JMS, MSMQ, TCP/IP 
• SOAP, WS-SOAP, IFS 
• Develop test automation for UI components (web portals, dashboards, HMI interfaces) used in factory environments and vehicle systems. 
• Perform backend testing and data validation with extensive use of SQL/NoSQL across a variety of database platforms. 
• Validate device-to-cloud data pipelines and system integrations, particularly with SAP and other ERP solutions. 
• Test industrial protocols and real-time messaging systems within IoT and manufacturing networks. 
• Collaborate closely with development teams to ensure continuous integration and test coverage across the SDLC. 

Technical Skills Required: 

Test Automation & Tools: 

• Strong experience with test automation frameworks 
• Scripting and test development in Java, C, 
• Experience building automation for API/system-level components 
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) and integration of automated tests 

Protocols & Interfaces: 

• HTTP, TCP/IP, JMS, MSMQ 
• SOAP, WS-SOAP, IFS 
• Experience with industrial or IoT protocols (e.g., MQTT, OPC UA, OPC DA) is a plus 

Front-End Testing: 

• Functional and visual testing of web UIs and industrial user interfaces  
• Cross-browser and responsive UI testing experience 

Database Expertise: 

• Hands-on with a wide range of relational and NoSQL databases: 
• Db2, Db2/400 (Db2400) 
• Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL 
• MS SQL Server, MS Access, MongoDB 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Experience testing in manufacturing, automotive, or IoT environments 
• Familiarity with SAP integration testing 
• Exposure to embedded systems, PLC environments, or real-time control systems 
• ISTQB or equivalent testing certification 
• Familiarity with security, reliability, or compliance testing for critical infrastructure
