This is a state-of-the-art, controlled-environment greenhouse for the sustainable production of tropical indoor foliage plants of consistent and exceptional quality.

JOB SUMMARY

Employees in this position perform work in our greenhouse and warehouse facilities. Primary responsibilities include receiving, managing and cycle counting inventory to ensure inventory accuracy, material handling, warehouse/storage utilization and other duties as assigned.


Requirements

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in development of warehouse/inventory process and procedures 
  • Manage warehouse inventory accuracy
  • Manage material movement
  • Hard good counts monthly
  • Weekly/Monthly cycle counts
  • Frequent spot checks
  • Process receipts, hard goods arrival, and complete all necessary receiving paperwork
  • Maintain receiving records
  • Verify accuracy of shipments / reports damaged or non-conforming goods
  • Assists to maintain consistent stock of inventory, notifying purchasing on items below minimum stock levels
  • Make recommendations on inventory storage solutions, with an emphasis on maximizing all available warehouse space
  • Assists purchasing department in maintaining vendor managed inventory programs
  • Assist in supplying inventory reports to the management team as requested
  • Maintains, and reconciles as directed, accurate daily records of inventory activities
  • Maintains inventory system data
  • Conducts frequent spot and partial audits of physical inventory
  • Assists with periodic physical inventory audits
  • Operates forklift truck when necessary
  • Performs other related duties as required

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Self-starter with ability to problem solve and good decision-making skills
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations
  • Ability to do repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively
  • Excellent communication skills with vendors, carriers, production, shipping, and purchasing department
  • Basic understanding of inventory control procedures
  • Proficient keyboarding skills
  • Extremely organized and able to work with minimum supervision
  • A flexible work schedule to include some weekends

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required  
  • Associate/bachelor’s degree preferred 
  • Two (2) years of relevant experience in an inventory control role
  • Experience with computerized inventory systems is preferred
  • Forklift operator certification required
  • Use of computer software including:
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
