RSI is looking for an Associate Engineer to join our Solutions organization. You will leverage your understanding of relational databases, object oriented programming, and data structures to begin working with SSIS, SQL, and C# on an implementation project. You will define system requirements, write business and technical specifications, create test cases, perform unit and system testing and assist with the implementation of the data interface from a legacy system to a new Integrated Tax System. 

Internally, this role is titled Engineer (Software), Associate.

Job Responsibilities/Duties:  

• Conducting requirements gathering and analysis to understand the domain of the software problem and/or functionality, the interfaces between hardware and software, and the overall software characteristics  
• Using programming, scripting, and/or database languages to write the software code  
• Supporting software testing, deployment, maintenance, and evolution activities by correcting programming errors, responding to scope changes, and coding software enhancements  
• Applying knowledge of software development best practices, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations 

• BS in Computer Science
• 0 - 1 year of relevant software experience
• Knowledge of Relational Databases, Object Oriented Design, and Data Structures  
• Familiarity with one or more programming languages 
• Familiarity with standard development techniques (Agile SDLC, OOD)  
• Experience in SQL 
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills  
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills  
• Outgoing and enthusiastic personality  
• Professional business demeanor  

Desired/Preferred Qualifications:  

• Demonstrated proficiency in C# and/or SSIS

Physical Requirements:  

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.  
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

RSI determines pay range based upon numerous compensation factors, including experience, skill set, and geographic location. A current and reasonable estimated range for this position is $60,000 - $65,500.
