Our community consists of 300 Independent Living Residential Units, a 33-bed (Medicare/private) Skilled Nursing Healthcare Unit, a 40-bed Assisted Living Unit, and 34-bed Memory Support Unit.

We are seeking positive, highly skilled, compassionate RNs to join our awesome healthcare team. The available shift is full-time and part-time 7a-3p, 3p-11p and 11p-7a shifts. The new team members selected will have excellent clinical skills and provide appropriate direct nursing care for our elderly residents in a safe, compassionate manner in accordance with individualized support plans and to facilitate personal outcomes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide excellent direct nursing care for our residents, treating them with the utmost respect, promptly addressing needs, and properly documenting care. Serve as resource for delivery of nursing support by other staff. Comply with all applicable rules, regulations, and guidelines.
- Ensure timely and accurate assessment, treatment, medication administration, and documentation. Maintain a vigilant focus on safety, a restraint free environment at all times, support for fall prevention programs, and consistent observation of residents for changes in condition, reporting any changes to clinical management.
- Handle assessments, including development and maintenance of care plans for each resident in coordination with physicians, consultants, vendors, etc. Assist physicians, specialists, and other health care providers.
- Participate in resident admission and discharge according to facility procedure. Coordinate Nursing services with other resident services to ensure continuity of the total regimen of care.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living as needed, including bathing/showering according to schedule, oral care, toileting, dressing, etc.
- Monitor equipment and supplies, including proper handling of medicine cart and STAT box, and ensure emergency equipment is in proper working order.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Current Virginia RN license required.
- At least three (3) years of progressively responsible nursing experience in the Assisted Living/Memory Support and/or Long-Term Care required.
- Valid Adult CPR, BLS/AED Certification required.
- ISP/UAI certification preferred.
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records preferred.
- Must demonstrate excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
- Must be able to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and the general public.
- Must demonstrate a genuine desire to work with the elderly and/or disabled.
- Must be able to exert a minimum of 50 lbs. of energy in order to assist elderly in and out of wheelchairs, beds, etc., as well as be able to sit, stand, walk, climb stairs, reach, turn, bend, stoop, crouch and kneel, balance and maintain body equilibrium to prevent falls, reach over the head, push/pull, and grasp with both hands.
