Description

 The Commercial Construction Project Manager plans and oversees the building process of various  construction projects from start to finish. Their duties include creating the budget, retrieving necessary  permits, communicating with clients, subcontractors, engineers and architects.


 Responsibilities: 

• Organize project documents   

• Review project with assigned on-site Superintendent   

• Create critical path schedules   

• Create schedule of values   

• Secure Permits   

• Draft work orders/purchase orders   

• Review, process, and distribute shop drawings, product data and samples   

• Maintain submittal logs   

• Manage change order process  

• Review invoices from subcontractors/suppliers and draft monthly pay applications for work completed.   

• Work with Project Controllers to submit monthly pay applications   

• Oversee closeout process by working with Assistant Project Managers to create closeout manuals,  schedule and oversee owner’s trainings, compile/submit as-built drawings, etc.   

• Coordinate with Field Operations Manager and Superintendents to schedule necessary manpower for project  

• Other management duties as they arise

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent.  

At least three years related experience required.   


Physical Requirements:  

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
