GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
Evaluates, administers and directs administration of therapeutic procedures utilized in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, as prescribed by a referring practitioner. Establishes goals of physical therapy and re-assesses patient’s progress at regular, timely intervals, supporting findings with appropriate documentation.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Accurately performs a complete physical therapy evaluation and documents in an appropriate timeframe for a variety of patient populations.
- Competently develops a comprehensive, precise and well-documented treatment plan that can be administered by another physical therapist or physical therapy assistant.
- Appropriately administers safe and effective treatment with corresponding documentation.
- Carefully re-assesses plan of care in appropriate time frame. Changes are made as needed.
- Safely operates all equipment relevant to treatment.
- Effectively establishes priorities for using time to maximize productivity.
- Accurately reflects billing in documentation.
- Willingly performs other duties as necessary.
EDUCATION:
Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school
EXPERIENCE:
New grads are acceptable
REQUIREMENTS:
North Carolina Board Certified / Eligible, BLS Certification
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Excellent customer service, knowledge of equipment and safe compliance, maintains certification in Physical Therapy and assists in maintaining the highest quality standards.
ENVIRONMENTAL/WORKING CONDITIONS:
In-doors in a controlled environment
PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS:
Variety of activities including sitting, walking, bending, reaching. Must be able to stand for 2-4 hours while making presentations. Occasionally mush push/lift/carry equipment and materials.
