Position Summary:
Be the Point of Contact, in your store, to help customers select appropriate equipment and accessories to meet their jobs; educate your fellow associates of the benefits, proper use and sales technologies of your store’s power equipment line; and maintain the financial integrity and product presentation of your store’s power equipment line(s).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Drive power equipment sales to exceed goals
· Assist in setting sales and margin goals of power equipment and accessories
· Increase power equipment contractor sales by giving great customer service to existing ones and seeking new customers (be proactive to have ready what they want)
· Create/Develop power equipment events/promotions
· Be present for all power equipment events
· Creativity for the Power Equipment Department
· Check in all invoices – Check all serial numbers on invoice to ensure accuracy
· Inventory Integrity – as well as maintaining Inventory Levels as requested
· Generate power equipment orders
· Work with Marketing Coordinator to be aware of power equipment advertising
· Repair equipment as needed in a timely and organized manner
· Prepare billing for each repair unit, using appropriate SKU numbers. This includes warranty work, and execution of a system for factory reimbursement of warranty repairs. Develop and use the system to ensure payment for all claims.
· Keep the department current with all Ace signage, power equipment signage, and other materials
· Organization of the Power Equipment Department – (Communication to store manager on what is needed)
· Scheduled to work on Saturdays
· Professional appearance of self, Stihl Department and service area
· Responsible for performing any duties asked by Manager/Assistant Manager that may increase productivity, sales, or provide better customer service
· Stihl Gold technicians will train/mentor silver and bronze technicians in preparation for Gold Certification 1 hour per week and document training.
· Stihl Silver and Bronze technicians must train associates for 1 hour each week and document training.
· Continue education and training to be brought to the next level of certification and/or to get recertified.
· Successful completion of all training levels reaching Stihl Gold Certification or Equivalent
· Knowledge of power equipment sign on, e-sales, e-service, part look-up, warranty, product registration and safety guidelines
· Communication with the team and management as needed
· Keep up with new trends in handheld power equipment
· Responsible for educating your co-workers on services and products of the power equipment department as well as safety requirements. Monitors that the associates are using proper safety equipment at times required
· Attend power equipment meetings
· Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks with a high attention to detail
· Knowledge of retail computer systems, MS Word and Excel a plus.
· Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays to meet the needs of business.
