SUMMARY:

Madison Resorts is offering an internship that will provide a meaningful educational experience including measurable, productive, and relevant activities of professionals in the Hospitality industry. This internship has the potential for continued employment beyond the internship period.


ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Know, understand, and adhere to company established policies and procedures.
  • Ensures guest interactions are always positive. Smiles with every guest.
  • Rotate through the functional areas of the Hotel to gain an understanding of how each department contributes to the success of the hotel.
  • Develop skills and leadership under the guidance of the departmental leaders through hands-on work and shadowing.
  • Assist guests when needed.
  • Learn the operational workings of each department by observation of team members, participation in meetings, asking questions, and special departmental projects.
  • Provide input into the development and implementation of services and processes.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures of each department in a satisfactory manner.
  • Assist each department head with assigned operational functions and help with strategic plan for the department.
  • Completing tasks by utilizing and learning systems, tools, equipment, and software that apply.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Enrolled in a university or college program at junior or senior level, preferred course of study to include Hospitality Management, Business Management or other related majors.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Proficient in MS Office 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Able to demonstrate professional work ethic
  • Able to maintain flexible work schedule
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Good interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Handle sensitive information with honesty and integrity.
