Quality Auditor/Inspector is responsible for maintaining quality standards by approving incoming material, in-process inspections, and proper documentation. Report quality issues on a daily basis and support the production floor in understanding acceptance criteria in relation to the quality of our parts.

Requirements


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform quality audits on the production floor to validate foundry, casting cells and X-Rays
  • Perform incoming material inspection on raw material to validate the chemistry of primary and secondary material.
  • Calibrate and validate the foundry Spectrometers on a daily basis.
  • Utilize gages to inspect parts for conformity.
  • Be able to understand our quality standards and effectively communicate those requirements to others.
  • Work with production employees to maintain high quality standards and correct quality issues as they arise.
  • Required to manage tagging and tracking of nonconforming material and trace back, where necessary, to determine a cut off point for any necessary back purges.
  • Be able to operate the CMMs in order to perform part inspections and interpret the dimensional results including, but not limited to, first piece inspections when applicable.
  • Assist in product launch, PPAP’s, machine set up and prototype inspections and documentation as requested by Quality Manager and/or Quality Supervisor.
  • Required to follow any other instructions and to perform any other duties upon request of the supervisor or management.
  • Give feedback to leads and supervisors for all nonconforming material issues to help correct the problem.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • The job works primarily on the plant floor with exposure to noise, odors, dust drafts, chemicals, operating machinery, temperature extremes, hazardous substances, etc.
  • Repetitive lifting, carrying, walking.
