Integra Biosciences is an industry leader in innovative liquid handling products within the life sciences industry. The Cost Accountant is responsible for overseeing all cost expenditures, assessing business expenses, and uncovering inefficiencies and excess costs. 


Primary Responsibilities:  

  • Manage cost accounting for US, Asian, and Australian companies.
  • Prepare cost reports, variance analyses, and monthly manufacturing variance analysis.
  • Develop and review standard costs and product cost performance.
  • Ensure accurate cost accounting and allocations within ERP systems.
  • Analyze costs for global sourcing decisions.
  • Review capital budgeting and project proposals.
  • Prepare monthly margin analysis for production and sales.
  • Reconcile intercompany accounts.
  • Develop ad-hoc analyses and optimize reporting.
  • Coordinate budget and forecast processes.
  • Drive process improvement strategies for North American sites.
  • Collaborate with functional leads for continuous process improvements.

Qualifications and Requirements: 

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in cost accounting, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
  • Technical Expertise: Experience with cost center allocations in manufacturing.
  • Integrity and Accountability: High level of integrity, accountability, and results orientation with strong prioritization skills.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems.
  • Collaboration: Ability to partner effectively with business leaders and strong internal customer service skills.
  • Time Management: Strong time management, multi-tasking abilities, and task prioritization based on deadlines.
