Description
We are looking for an Associate ITS Specialist to work coordinate and manage system software deployment, software maintenance, and customer projects. The successful candidate shall be able to manage the installation of system software and related software components including SQL databases. The Associate ITS Specialist will also support software testing for upcoming releases. Additionally, the successful candidate will learn how to perform traffic signal timing conversions between various signal timing database formats.
Duties / Responsibilities
- Collaborates with department and project staff for the installation and maintenance of system traffic management system software.
- Facilitates and contributes to the development of project plans and customer solutions.
- Participate in pre-release software testing.
- Conduct traffic signal controller timing conversions.
- Prepares periodic progress and cost reports for leadership.
- Ensures compliance with codes, guidelines, best practices, and policies.
- Collaborates with other department staff to identify and troubleshoot problems.
- Collaborates with others to share problems and solutions.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum of a high school diploma.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline is highly desired.
- Experience in traffic or transportation industry is desired.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Physical Conditions / Requirements
- No unusual physical requirements. Requires no heavy lifting and nearly all work is performed in a comfortable indoor facility.
- Occasional – Routine deadlines; usually sufficient lead time; variance in work volume seasonal and predictable; priorities can be anticipated; some interruptions are present; involves occasional exposure to demands and pressures from persons other than immediate supervisor.
- Job frequently requires sitting and handling objects with hands.
- Job occasionally requires standing, walking, bending, reaching, talking, hearing, and lifting up to 10 pounds.

Salary Description
$50k - $75k per year, depending on experience
