Job Purpose
Sales development representatives are responsible for expanding the company's customer base. They use prospecting strategies to identify and initiate the first outreach with potential customers. Their goal is to help book meetings and find new opportunities for the sales team.
Essential Duties:
· Outbound appointment setting for sales team.
· Create and execute prospecting plan through calling, email, leveraging personal networks.
· Analyze market reports to determine where to seek out new business
· Work with 3rd party lead generation providers
· Work to convert losses into wins to the best of your ability
· Drive sales growth and pipeline through setting up qualified meetings for the Direct Sales team
· Maintain and organize an annual book of business
· Be a subject matter expert and evangelist of CallTower’s expansive list of solutions
· Produce creative strategies for targeting decision-makers at prospect accounts in order to book sales appointments and influence company revenue
· Collaborate with the meeting and provide insights on customer feedback.
· Track and report on key performance to metrics to management.
· Other duties as assigned by management
· Conduct high-volume cold calling to generate new leads and set appointments.
· Discusses customer needs, problems, or complaints, and arranges for meetings between prospective
customers and representatives of various company functional areas
· Compiles and analyzes statistics pertinent to the company's business development program and
makes recommendations or suggestions as appropriate.
· Performs customer outreach on potential new customers within the framework of a business
development call program.
· Develop and refine cold calling scripts to improve engagement and conversion rates
Skills/Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communication, related field strongly preferred or 6+ years of equivalent, relevant experience
· Two years of experience
· Experience with outreach such as cold calling and emailing
· Exception written and verbal communication skills
· Strong time management and organization skills
· Computer proficient with Microsoft Office
· Exceptional organizational skills
· Proficient in Salesforce.com
· Knowledge of marketing automation tools
· Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines
· Self-motivated
