Kelvin New Energy Technology US Inc in partnership with YINLUN TDI LLC has an immediate need for a Manufacturing Engineer at our Houston, Texas facility. Kelvin Energy has an established history of success in the ENERGY MARKET. Quality and Innovation as a temperature sensor manufacturer and supplier of heating elements in a wife variety of other industries has proven to be a solid foundation. This position will report directly to the President - North America.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Related work on the new project:
· Responsible for the acceptance of new equipment, including acceptance documents, in coordination with the installation and commissioning of equipment for the new project.
· Provide suggestions for the construction and planning of new factory buildings and layout.
· Verification of production capacity and initial process capability of new equipment.
· Participate in the development of quality standards based on product requirements.
· Provide suggestions for the design of production fixtures, tooling, and material racks.
· Participate in the setting of product and process parameters.
· Develop and maintain standard working hours in the ERP system.
2. Related work in normal production:
· Develop and update process flow charts.
· Develop and update internal VSM diagrams.
· Develop and update work instructions.
· Responsible for executing engineering changes.
· Participate in reviewing the customer's engineering specifications.
· Update technical documents such as: PFMEA.
· Develop Poka Yoke and monitor usage.
· Develop production startup checking form.
· Develop equipment operation instructions and daily maintenance instructions.
· Setting and adjustment of equipment and process parameters.
· Design, manufacture, and acceptance of urgent tooling and testing equipment in production.
· Monitoring process capability Cpk.
· Participate in the development of product testing plans.
· Process discipline check.
· Identification of hazards in work and establishment of safety facilities.
· Uses schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions or defined plans to perform testing and troubleshooting on electronic or mechanical components, equipment or systems.
· Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems (e.g., mechanical, electrical). Evaluates and recommends equipment improvements to improve availability, capability and yield. Performs equipment failure analyses (including preventative and unscheduled maintenance).
· Troubleshoots and diagnoses difficult, infrequent problems with equipment. Prepares technical reports to document equipment modifications and equipment maintenance procedures.
· Cultivate relationships with operators to build a productive team environment.
· Acts as liaison for Contract Maintenance personnel and oversees contract maintenance activities as required.
· Develop relationships and contacts with original equipment manufacturers and relevant support companies for parts and performance.
· Trains Operators on Maintenance tasks to develop PM procedures and implement training programs.
· Maintains shop and equipment, parts, and supplies inventories.
3. Solving problems in production
· Act when quality issues occur and machine breakdown in production.
· Cooperate with equipment maintenance and repair.
· Support problem solving product change over.
· Participate in the analysis and testing of customer rejection of products.
· Participate in the development and validation of preventive and corrective measures.
4. Continuous improvement work
· Provide technical training to production supervisors, team leaders, and operators.
· Participate in the adoption and implementation of improvement ideas.
· Participate in production cost calculation and control.
· Participate in process audits and develop corrective measures.
5. Other tasks arranged by the leader.

Experience, Skills & Education:
1. Bachelor’s degree or above, major in mechanical, electromechanical or electrical engineering. Familiar with mechanical or electrical knowledge.
2. 5+ years of process-related work experience, Experience in automotive refrigeration or industrial refrigeration work is preferred.
3. Skilled in industrial engineering methods, familiar with lean manufacturing.
4. Master quality tools: 8D/KT/6 Sigma/ APQP/PPAP/CP/MSA/SPC, etc., with good problem-solving ability.
5. Familiar with ISO 9001/ITAF16949, ISO 14001 system management requirements.
6. Good communication and coordination skills.
7. Fluent in Chinese is preferred.
