Description

We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced ServiceNow Cybersecurity Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in the authorization of information systems and will be well-versed in cybersecurity policies and procedures, particularly within the Department of Defense (DOD) framework. This position requires a deep understanding of the DOD authorization process and the application of security controls as outlined in NIST 800-53.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a cybersecurity SME for the authorization of information systems, ensuring compliance with all relevant policies and procedures.
  • Provide expertise on specific platform capabilities and use-cases related to cybersecurity.
  • Support the overall DOD implementation of its authorization process, including the development and maintenance of cybersecurity policies and procedures.
  • Conduct assessments of information systems to ensure they meet the necessary security controls and requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate the authorization process and address any cybersecurity concerns.
  • Determines the applicable severity value for an identified vulnerability (e.g., noncompliant security control), and determines the possible ramifications on the system’s current or future authorization
  • Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes related to cybersecurity.
  • Required to brief senior management on the progress or results of an information system undergoing the authorization process. 
Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

  • 5+ years of relevant Cyber Security experience

Required:

  • CISSP Certification
