The Clinical Site Supervisor (RN) is responsible for the day-to-day operations and clinical oversight of the clinic, ensuring smooth workflow and high-quality patient care. This role combines leadership and clinical expertise, overseeing medical practice staff. The Clinical Site Supervisor will ensure compliance with regulatory standards, manage staffing needs, monitor revenue cycle metrics, manage budgets, and provide direct clinical care as needed.
Essential Duties
Supervisory, Staffing and Scheduling Duties:
- Manage recruitment, hiring, training, and development of clinic staff.
- Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and address any personnel issues.
- Conduct regular team meetings, ensuring clear communication and promoting a collaborative environment.
- Lead and manage daily clinic operations, ensuring efficient and effective patient flow.
- Oversee patient scheduling, collaborate with providers to ensure schedule efficiency, and ensure adequate staffing levels to optimize provider time and clinic resources and to meet patient volume demands.
- Monitor and improve patient flow to reduce wait times and enhance the patient experience.

Compliance, Regulatory, and Operations:
- Monitor and ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care that meets or exceeds industry standards.
- Regularly review patient feedback, address and resolve patient concerns or complaints promptly and professionally, and develop action plans to improve the patient experience.
- Ensure adherence to clinical protocols and guidelines.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including HIPAA, OSHA, and other healthcare-related guidelines.
- Prepare for and participate in regulatory inspections and audits.
- Monitor clinic metrics, identify areas for improvement, and develop and implement operational policies and procedures to improve clinic processes and efficiency and quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensure that the clinic is equipped with necessary resources, including medical supplies and technology.
Finance and Revenue Cycle Management:
- Develop and manage the clinic’s budget, ensuring financial goals are met.
- Oversee expense control measures, including purchasing supplies and equipment.
- Monitor financial performance indicators such as patient volume, revenue, and expenditures.
- Oversee billing and coding processes to maximize revenue capture.
- Ensure timely and accurate claims submission, working with billing staff to resolve any issues or denials.
- Track accounts receivable and implement strategies to reduce outstanding balances.
Clinical (RN) Duties:
- Provide direct patient care, including assessments, treatments, and patient education within the scope of an RN.
- Support clinical staff with complex or urgent patient cases.
- Ensure accurate documentation of patient care and treatment plans in the electronic medical records system.
- Assist with triage and coordination of patient care with other healthcare providers as needed.
- Participate in and promote continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Administer medications and treatments as necessary.
Required Experience
- Experience in a clinical or ambulatory care setting preferred.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficient in electronic medical records (EMR) systems and healthcare technology preferred.
- Possesses the ability to supervise others and resolve problems.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, automated environment.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, billing, and revenue cycle management preferred.
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets and controlling costs preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
Required Licensure/Education
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Active RN License in the state of IL
Preferred Education
- Effective 4/01/2024: Upon hire or within 12 months of start date, must complete and maintain a nationally ANCC-recognized nursing leadership or nursing specialty certification.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role preferred.
