SUMMARY
The Senior Lead is responsible for overseeing daily operations in the fabrication
department, ensuring the smooth execution of production tasks, and providing technical
leadership to the team. This position requires a hands-on approach to guiding team
members, ensuring that quality standards are consistently met, and identifying
opportunities for process improvements. The Senior Lead will focus on supporting
production workflows, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring efficient and effective
fabrication processes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Support and manage the production schedule to ensure smooth operations and
timely project completion.
• Assist in maintaining high-quality standards for all products produced, ensuring
that each meets company specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints and engineering fabrication drawings to guide
production and team efforts.
• Operate and maintain hand tools, measuring tools, and machinery used in
fabrication processes.
• Oversee the flow of materials and the assembly process of enclosures to ensure
smooth operation and proper execution of tasks.
• Review work tickets, drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) to ensure they are
accurate and complete before production begins.
• Identify production issues, troubleshoot solutions, and escalate to the supervisor
for further resolution when necessary.
• Ensure products are fabricated according to specifications and all processes are
followed before products are handed off to Quality Control or stock.
• Mentor and guide team members, ensuring adherence to procedures and
standards.
• Support compliance with company safety, quality, and operational documentation
requirements.
• Actively address and resolve conflicts within the team, ensuring a collaborative
environment.
• Assist in analyzing production challenges and offer suggestions for improvements
to enhance overall workflow efficiency and product quality.
• Maintain organized workstations by practicing 5S principles and ensuring a safe,
clean work environment.
• Demonstrate the company’s core values in daily activities and foster a positive
work culture.• Abide by all company policies and regulations as outlined in the employee
handbook.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the department supervisor.
• Follow all safety protocols and ensure the correct use of Personal Protective
Equipment (PPE) by team members.
• Identify potential areas for process improvement on the fabrication floor and
assist in implementing changes to improve efficiency and quality.
QUALIFICATIONS

• Proficient with MS Outlook, Word, and Excel; familiarity with fabrication
software is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure quality and accuracy in all tasks.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to support and
guide team members.
• Strong math skills for accurate measurements and calculations in fabrication.
• A collaborative and solutions-oriented mindset, with the ability to mentor others.
• Proficient in metal fabrication processes, equipment and tools (sheet metal
fabrication), including welding, turret punching, machining, grinding, and
bending.
• Strong understanding of fabrication techniques, material properties, and quality
control standards.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
• High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in sheet metal or fabrication processes.
• 5 years of experience in a lead role or with a demonstrated ability to guide and
support teams in a fabrication or manufacturing environment
