Description

The RMG Practice Manager is responsible for directing, supervising, and coordinating staff and activities at the office to provide high quality, cost-effective care and delivering a positive customer experience. Responsible for monitoring financial stability of each site they oversee including effective management of revenue cycle metrics, keeping providers informed on their dashboards as well as budget compliance. The Practice Manager will meet with their Site Supervisor, Physician Dyad and their Director routinely. They will be responsible for the mentoring, development, and growth of Site Supervisors. Practice Managers will be an advocate for RMG by promoting a positive attitude when speaking of RMG's vision.

Essential Duties:

  • Facilitate on-boarding of new providers with credentialing and on-boarding coordinator. 
  • Encourage and promotes teamwork among all departments and services within the facility. 
  • Ensures provisions of safe, high quality patient care by staff. 
  • Assure all staff are fully trained and working within the scope for which they have been trained. 
  • Maintain DNV and ISO 9001 compliance. Ensures that office space, supplies, equipment and assistance are provided and maintained appropriately for medical staff and patient care.
  • Provide each provider with their monthly dashboard and site P &L and review the reports with each provider. 
  • The practice manager should have a high level of understanding of all reports so they can answer all questions. 
  • Provide each site supervisor with their monthly accounts payable for each clinic as well as their monthly productivity reports for LEM. 
  • Ensures all business functions are operative and that processes are effectively and efficiently in place. 
  • Reviews processes and workflows to make recommendations for improvement.
  • Creates goals for clinic operations and ensures these goals are aligned with organizational goals. 
  • Operates within the context of an established budget. 
  • Makes recommendations for annual budget and maximizes opportunities to meet and exceed budget guidelines. 
  • Monitors SMR's, working to meet budget. 
  • In conjunction with department director and where applicable, evaluates performance and recommends merit increases, promotions, and disciplinary actions. 
  • Work with Human Resources and Director on all employee issues. 
  • Manages daily operations and coordinates work activities and schedules. 
  • Monitor open encounters and work with site supervisors and providers for timely closing of encounters and billing. 
  • Purposely explains the 'why' in communications to promote understanding and engagement of team members.
  • Advocate and follow up on provider questions or concerns and escalate to Dyad or Director as necessary. 
  • Review and approve time cards as applicable. 
  • Maintain onsite and offsite provider schedules and templates, including trainings, meetings, call schedules and coverages.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with outside partnerships.
  • Participate, organize and facilitate marketing events for their clinics, including community outreach and education. 
  • Communicate and collaborate with other Practice Managers on events that may be beneficial for other Managers on events that may be beneficial for other departments.
  • Facilitate new marketing ideas, collaborate / communicate new services, communicate any signage issues, and website issues. 
  • Initiates and maintains referral relationships in the community and participates in community development activities. 
  • Works with department director regarding decisions with system-wide implications. 
  • During down time, works with IS and Site Supervisors to follow down time procedure to assure safe patient flow.
  • Attend meetings as assigned.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements

Required Licensure/Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in health or business administration or related field required within 5 years of hire.
  • 3-5 years of medical practice or office management experience (at least 2 years in health-related field).

Preferred Education:

  •  Master’s degree in health care, business administration or related field preferred.
