JOB TITLE: Route Delivery Driver

LOCATION: Edwardsville, KS (Onsite)
JOB OVERVIEW
The Delivery Driver is responsible for driving a tractor trailer for the purpose of delivering and unloading various products for Earp Distribution customers. This requires excellent customer service skills and working in accordance with state and DOT regulations and Earp Distribution safety preferred work methods. Working overtime hours, weekends, and starting at various departure times over a 24-hour delivery period required to meet our customer’s needs.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Delivering on time and without error
- Maintaining a high level of safety and professionalism
- Pre & Post trip inspections
- Legal and safe tractor/trailer operation
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Must be a U.S. citizen or Permanent Resident
- Must be 23+ years of age
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License with a clean driving record
- Valid Medical Examiner’s Certificate
- 1+ year of commercial driving experience
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- High School or GED
PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENT
Knowledge
- Customer food safety and delivery requirements
- Understand & meet FMCSA regulations
- Earp policies and procedures
Skills & Qualifications
- Tractor trailer, lift gate, on-board computer, ELD, paperless delivery scanner and electric jack operation.
- Customer service
- Defensive driving skills
- Clean driving record

- Able to follow company instructions & directives
EQUIPMENT OPERATED
- Standard commercial delivery equipment including tractor-trailers, electric walking jacks, tablets, delivery scanners, etc.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- The Delivery Driver will primarily work outdoors while unloading trailer; often exposed to very hot or very cold temperatures.
- Execute routes in a single and team operation.
MENTAL/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Required to stand, sit, bend, stand, walk, reach, climb, stoop, and use hands and fingers to grasp and feel
- Required as needed to 2-wheel product down trailer ramp
- Required to lift to 55 lbs. frequently
- Required to work varying hours as needed
