Job summary

Packaging Operators are responsible for operating packaging while ensure the highest integrity of the customer’s product, preventing contamination by adhering to all established standardized processes and customer requirements. Ensures all packaging operations are conducted in a safe, prompt, and effective manner at the assigned pack-out line. Understands and follows all Core values, Company policies, and Safety procedures: 


Job Requirements

Responsibilities  

· Operate and maintain safe packaging, material handling, and visual inspection operations within the guidelines of EHS and Quality policies.

· Operate and maintain GPP’s (Good Packaging Practices).

· Perform complete blowdowns following customers’ quality standards.

· Assist Packaging Lead with set up at the lines

· Set up transfer hoses to railcar following GPP’s.

· Verify and initial paperwork before starting a new order.

· Verify and initial test print after the packaging Lead.

· Report any quality concerns to the Packaging Lead during the packaging process.

· Complete all assigned training in Paylocity.

· Maintain housekeeping standards in the work area.

· Assist the Packaging Lead to complete all tasks assigned by management.


Requirements

 Minimum requirements

  • 6–12-month warehouse experience
  • 6-12 months operations experience
  • Be able to work under little supervision
  • Work weekends and holidays as required
  • Problem solving 
  • Be able to work under little supervision
  • Work efficiently under pressure
  • Be able to work on rotating shift
  • Work weekends and holidays if required
  • Be flexible with last-minute changes
  • Flexibility to work with different crews if needed
