Saint Mary-of-the-Woods is looking for a Content Marketing Strategist to create robust content for blogs, articles, social media and the website while maintaining the consistent and high-level brand of the institution through various media and marketing channels. The Content Marketing Strategist will direct various marketing initiatives such as digital marketing, social media marketing and other online tactics. The Content Marketing Strategist will contribute to the development of strategies to increase audience engagement and brand awareness of the institution.
Content Marketing Strategist duties and responsibilities
- Manage integrated marketing campaigns across offline and online tactics
- Collaborate with a variety of departments and teams to deliver an effective content marketing strategy and editorial plan to meet the business objectives at the lowest possible cost
- Write, review, edit, and update rich content to best represent the institution; content platforms include social, website, blogs, marketing materials, videos, captions for photos, print and television media ad scripts and the College magazine
- Concept ideas for creative marketing campaigns across all media platforms
- Assist in outbound and inbound marketing activities by demonstrating expertise in various areas (content development, optimization, advertising, etc.)
- Liaise with campus clients to guarantee adequate planning, execution and monitoring of content and marketing activities
- Maintain awareness on best practice marketing techniques/tools to achieve successful campaigns and promotions
- Create content calendars for various social media platforms complete with photo and video assets
- Report monthly on social media metrics and implementation of adjustments to the content plan to maximize audience engagement
- Other duties as assigned
- Strong writing skills and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced, creative environment
- Previous working experience in marketing
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or similar relevant field required
- Knowledge of traditional and digital marketing
- Applicable knowledge in marketing data analytics and tools
- Hands-on experience with marketing software and applications (Web analytics, Google Adwords, etc.)
- Outstanding communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Able to work together with team members in a collaborative environment
- Other job duties as assigned
The responsibilities of a content strategist should include planning, creating, and managing content in alignment with broader marketing goals, ideally collaborating with other marketing teams.
