Job Title: Caddie Corner Food Worker (Line Cook – Food Truck)
Location: Sunset, SC
Job Type: Full-Time or Part-Time
Pay Rate: $18/hour (Highly Competitive)


Position Summary:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Food Worker to join our Caddie Corner food truck team at The Reserve in Sunset, SC. As a Line Cook, you will play a key role in preparing and presenting high-quality dishes that align with our nutrition philosophy and commitment to excellence.


Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and plate food items following The Reserve Communities’ recipes and presentation standards.
  • Set up your station with necessary ingredients and equipment before each shift.
  • Prepare sauces, garnishes, and accompaniments for menu items.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of menu items and food preparation techniques.
  • Communicate production needs with the Executive Chef before ending each shift.
  • Store, handle, and label food in accordance with Health Department regulations.
  • Operate food preparation equipment safely and correctly.
  • Report safety hazards or equipment malfunctions to management immediately.
  • Properly store and label leftovers and prepared ingredients.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of all storage and prep areas.
  • Participate in post-shift cleaning, including sweeping, mopping, and pressure washing.
  • Complete weekly deep-cleaning and maintenance tasks as assigned.
  • Ensure a safe and sanitary work environment at all times.
  • Uphold professional appearance and hygiene standards.
  • Follow all standards outlined in The Reserve Handbook and Declarations of Excellence.
  • Support additional kitchen duties as assigned by the Executive Chef or Sous Chef.


Requirements

Requirements:

Experience & Skills:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role (food truck, country club, or restaurant preferred), or 3 years of demonstrated relevant experience.
  • Strong passion for food and cooking, with knowledge of healthy cooking techniques.
  • Familiarity with classical and modern culinary methods.
  • Proficiency with various stations including sauté, grill, pantry, and expediting.
  • Excellent knife skills.
  • Understanding of food safety standards and health department regulations (food sanitation certification is a plus).
  • Ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment without compromising food quality.

Availability:

  • Must be available to work weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to bend, twist, stoop, push, pull, climb stairs, reach overhead, and lift up to 50 lbs.
