Title: Estimator

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina (100% in-person role)

Summary: We are currently looking for an experienced construction estimator to join our estimating department. The ideal candidate would have prior experience in residential and commercial estimating. Advanced computer knowledge, organizational skills and the ability to be detail- oriented are a must. Previous shell construction is preferred – Concrete, Block, Wood Framing and Siding.

Reports to: Construction Estimating Manager

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Ability to meet deadlines for estimates efficiently and accurately.
Review and understand contract specifications, documents and drawings to perform material takeoffs accurately.
Develop a strong understanding of in-house operating systems and their connection to the estimating department.
Comprehensive knowledge of the shell construction process from start to completion within the assigned scope of work.
Thorough understanding of project scope, including the ability to distinguish inclusions and exclusions within plans.
Collaborate with Operations and Field Management to ensure proper material ordering and utilization.
Assist with other estimating duties as assigned.

Requirements

At least 5 years of hands-on experience in wood framing.
Experience in multifamily construction is preferred.
Understanding of construction plans, specifications, and blueprints.
Working knowledge in Microsoft Excel and REVU Bluebeam software.
Well rounded understanding of the shell construction process.
Strong attention to detail; Exceptional organization skills.
Flexible approach to work; Multitasker with a desire for a variety of tasks and duties.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to ensure all deadlines are achieve.
