This position is fully onsite M-F, 8am-5pm. Our North Prairie facility is growing and needs a candidate that can be part of the growth. The ideal candidate is local and is not looking for relocation or remote work.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Experience evaluating, troubleshooting, and optimizing manufacturing processes, work cells, and machinery.
- Able to obtain and make use of data to drive decisions about cell design and process improvement.
- Familiar with evaluating and documenting existing processes.
- Capital acquisition experience- able to identify process improvements, recommend capital investment required, and communicate need to leadership. Experience required in calculating ROI, increased throughput, and relaying out processes.
- High level of proficiency with 3D CAD, CAM, data analysis programs, and related software to layout work cells, revise product flow, and design tooling.
- Evaluate existing tooling and fixturing, make recommendations to improve safety, operability, and efficiency.
- Ability to translate technical specifications, from Applications Engineering, into CAD based layouts and full bills of material, to support in-house fabrication and assembly.
- Promote design standards, design-for-mfg, and cost sensitive criteria throughout designs.
- Monitor progress against schedule and keep self on track.
- Ability to efficiently manage multiple projects at the same time.
- Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office preferred and must be proficient with Excel.
- Communicate openly. Build relationships. Be recognized as an individual that can be trusted.
- Possesses effective oral and written communication skills. Capable of leading project meetings, giving presentations to small groups and assist with customer communication.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, industrial, or mechanical engineering required.
- 4+ years of experience in manufacturing or industrial engineering.
- Six Sigma or Lean training
- Experience in Engineer-To-Order, large assembly fabrication shops preferred
- Microsoft Dynamics Navision Experience
- Strong organization and communication skills.
