The AYCC is looking for a mentor to support the growth of the teens in our Restorative Justice Program. This program is geared towards teens experiencing life challenges, and aims to provide them with the opportunity to grow and learn important social and life skills by including them in our overall teen program. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Plan, implement, direct, and supervise a complete and diversified educational, social and recreational program and activities for teens ages 11-17 that are referred to the Restorative Justice Program utilizing Roads to Success, Alternative to Suspension, and Diversion to Assets curriculum.
- Direct and operate programs and services for teen members, in accordance with the standards, philosophies, and policies of the State of Maine licensing guidelines within budget limitations.
- Organize and implement applicable programming, events, field trips and excursions for Restorative Justice participants.
- Implement, promote, and publicize the programs and activities.
- Assist teen members with behavior, attitude, or emotional concerns and make referrals to third party professionals when necessary.
- Keep accurate and adequate records of attendance, participation, and progress of all participants.
- Develop an annual budget and oversee its implementation.
- Review, allocate and code revenue and expenses in accordance with the approved chart of accounts. Comply with internal controls.
- Accomplish department and organizational objectives by managing staff and their performance, planning, scheduling and evaluating staff, recruiting, selecting, orienting and training staff, coaching employees to foster growth opportunities and completing required paperwork in a timely manner.

KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
- BA or BS in Social Work or related field
- Current CPR and First Aid certification or be willing to become certified.
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in childcare, teen programming, group social work, recreational field, social education field, or outdoor/camp programs.
WORK SCEHDULE: Full-time, 40 hours per week. Schedule varies depending on programs & events, but will regularly require evenings and weekends.

$45,000 per year
