Job Summary:


We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Medical Scribe/Transcriptionist to join

our fast-paced medical practice. The Medical Scribe/Transcriptionist will be responsible for

accurately documenting patient encounters in real-time or by transcribing audio recordings

from medical professionals. This role requires excellent computer skills, a strong

understanding of medical terminology, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.

Candidates may also be utilizing AI-powered transcription and documentation tools to

enhance efficiency and accuracy. The ideal candidate will be able to support our providers in

delivering exceptional patient care by ensuring accurate and timely documentation.


Responsibilities:


Listen to audio recordings or receive real-time direction from physicians and other

advanced care providers to document patient encounters, including medical history,

physical examination findings, diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up instructions.


Accurately and efficiently transcribe medical information into the Electronic Health

Record (EHR) system.

Utilize AI-powered transcription and documentation tools as directed to assist in the

transcription process.


Review and edit transcriptions (including those generated by AI) for accuracy, spelling,

grammar, clarity, and correct medical terminology.


Produce medical reports, records, and correspondence for providers as needed.


Maintain and organize both electronic and paper records related to patient care for

multiple patients simultaneously.


Ensure all documentation is completed in a timely and accurate manner.


Maintain strict confidentiality and privacy of patient information in accordance with


HIPAA regulations.


Assist with other administrative tasks as needed to support the smooth operation of

the practice.


Communicate effectively and professionally with providers, staff, and patients.


Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:


Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Google Workspace and experience

with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.


Strong keyboarding skills with meticulous attention to detail in transcription.


Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.


Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced

environment.


Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and privacy in accordance with HIPAA

regulations.


Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Requirements

Requirements:


Experience in a medical clinic setting preferred, such as a Transcriptionist, Medical

Assistant (MA) or Medical Scribe. Medical Scribe experience is a plus.


High school diploma or equivalent required.
