Description

Position Summary:

The position supports and manages all aspects of the Stabbert Marine and Industrial’s EPA Grant at the Anacortes facility. This role requires a strong understanding of grant compliance, financial management, and project oversight to ensure the successful execution and reporting of grant-funded initiatives. This role requires the following skills: detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities while maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders. This role is hybrid, but we would need the candidate to travel to our Seattle and Anacortes locations about 30% of the time.


Essential Functions

Grant Management & Compliance

· Ensure all EPA grant requirements, federal regulations, and reporting guidelines are met.

· Maintain accurate records and documentation to demonstrate compliance with funding agency expectations.

· Track grant expenditures and ensure proper allocation of funds within the approved budget.

· Prepare and submit timely financial and performance reports in accordance with grantor requirements.


Funding Strategy & Development

· Research and identify additional funding opportunities that align with Stabbert Marine & Industrial’s objectives.

· Develop, write and submit high-quality grant proposals and applications.

· Monitor changes in federal, state, and private grant policies to ensure proactive compliance.

· Permitting and regulatory management as it relates to the grant 


Cross Department Coordination

· Work with finance, operations, and project management teams to gather data, track project progress, and meet reporting deadlines.

· Ensure proper documentation of project milestones and deliverables.

· Provide guidance to internal teams on grant-related compliance and budget management.


Stakeholder & Relationship Management

· Serve as the primary liaison between Stabbert Marine & Industrial and funding agencies, regulatory bodies, and external partners.

· Facilitate regular communication and updates to stakeholders regarding grant status and financial performance.



Requirements

Required:

  • Proven experience in grant management, financial oversight, and compliance reporting (preferably with federal or environmental grants).
  • Strong knowledge of EPA grant regulations, government funding processes, and reporting requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience drafting proposals and reports.
  • Ability to manage budgets, track expenses, and analyze financial data.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and grant management software.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of working independently.

Preferred:

  • Experience in maritime, industrial, or shipyard-related grants.
  • Shoreline permitting experience preferred, including marinas, waterfront, and marine structures.
  • Familiarity with EPA policies, environmental compliance, and sustainability initiatives.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Environmental Science, or a related field.
