Join the AMHC Team: Medical Assistant for the Houlton Outpatient Office

 AMHC has an exciting opportunity for a Medical Assistant to join our team in the Houlton Outpatient Office. This position offers a dynamic blend of clinical and administrative tasks, supporting our dedicated Psychiatrists, Nurse Practitioners, and medical providers to ensure seamless, integrated care for our clients.

Qualifications:

  • CNA or Medical Assistant certification required.
     
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
     
  • Ability to effectively assist clients in person, by phone, and virtually.
     

Responsibilities & Expectations:

Administrative Duties:

  • Client Scheduling & Follow-ups: Collaborate with clients to schedule appointments and provide follow-ups with a service-focused approach.
     
  • Documentation: Obtain and review necessary documentation, ensuring AMHC’s commitment to excellence.
     
  • Telehealth Services: Arrange telehealth services as needed, providing a seamless client experience.
     

Clinical Duties:

  • Vital Signs: Accurately take and record client vital signs, treating all individuals with respect and dignity.
     
  • Medication Education: Provide clients with compassionate education regarding their medications, empowering them with the knowledge they need for better health outcomes.
     
  • Authorization & Refills: Authorize drug refills and communicate with providers and pharmacies with integrity and commitment to community care.
     

Schedule:

  • Full-time, 40-hour per week position.

Requirements
