Position Summary:
Under the supervision of the Chef and Sous Chef, the Dishwasher/Utility Worker provides residents, guests and employees with clean and sanitized utensils, plate ware, glassware, flooring and equipment.
Brief Overview of Major Duties (please see below for full job description):
- Washes plateware, glassware, silverware, pots/pans and kitchen utensils according to sanitation and cleaning procedures.
- Ensures utensils, plateware, and glassware are sanitized and available as needed.
- Places clean plateware, glassware, silverware and pots/pans in specified shelves according to sanitation and cleaning procedures.
- Keeps sanitation solutions up to Maricopa County Health standards at all times and records on a daily basis.
- Maintains daily cleanliness and maintenance of dish area. Trouble-shoots dishwasher machine malfunctions. Completes scheduled and assigned cleaning duties.
- Keeps immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters.
- Keeps kitchen clean by sweeping, mopping floors and emptying trash. Maintains a continuous state of cleanliness.
- Performs custodial related duties required to maintain cleanliness and sanitary conditions of the food service areas by sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing, and polishing; including light upholstery cleaning.
- Empties and decontaminates trash containers.
- Clean all walls in the kitchen and grill service areas including behind the equipment.
- Keeps chemical storage areas well stocked, clean, and organized.
- Keeps storage areas well stocked, clean, and organized.
- Ability to use proper/correct dilutions of cleaning agent as instructed by the manufacturer.
- Operates wet/dry vacuum for cleaning in the main kitchen, grill, center state and bar areas and shampoo carpeted areas.
- Keep all floor drains clean and sanitized daily.
- Assists as needed on set-up crew with principal responsibilities for setting up tables, chairs, and other furniture for special meetings, banquets, auctions or other events.
