DSFederal Inc, is seeking an experienced Data Analyst - Statistician to support a federal grantee monitoring and data management program within a complex IT services environment. This role requires expertise in statistical programming, data management, and predictive modeling to ensure high-quality analytics and reporting. The candidate will be responsible for developing statistical models, automating reporting processes, and conducting data-driven policy analysis. The position plays a key role in supporting decision-making through rigorous data validation, statistical interpretation, and performance monitoring. This is a Contingent position.
Job Description
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
· Design, develop, and maintain statistical models and data analytics frameworks to support federal monitoring activities.
· Conduct econometric modeling, predictive analysis, and data visualization using tools such as SAS, R, Stata, SQL, and Tableau.
· Automate data processing, quality control routines, and performance reporting using SAS macros, SQL queries, and scripting languages.
· Perform statistical analyses on large datasets, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data for decision-making.
· Develop dashboards and automated reports to support monitoring efforts using Power BI, Tableau, and SAS ODS.
· Conduct impact analysis related to early childhood education programs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data strategies with operational goals
Required Qualifications:
· 5+ years of experience in data analysis, statistical modeling, and grantee performance monitoring within human services, social sciences, or federal programs preferably within early childhood education.
· Proficiency in statistical programming with SAS, R, Python, Stata, and SQL.
· Experience in machine learning platforms, frameworks, and libraries
· Understanding of NLP techniques for text representation, semantic extraction techniques, data structures, and modeling
· Direct experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI.
· Strong understanding of survey methodology, data integration, and process optimization.
· Experience working on government contracts and knowledge of federal grant monitoring systems.
· Ability to interpret complex statistical results for non-technical stakeholders and policy decision-makers.
· Familiarity with AI-driven analytics, machine learning, and advanced econometrics.
Education:
· Bachelor’s degree in economics, Statistics, Data Science, Public Administration, or a related field.
· Master’s degree preferred.
