Join Boys & Girls Clubs of North Central Illinois this summer to make a lasting impact! We are seeking dedicated Youth Development Assistants to support our summer programs. This seasonal role is ideal for current employees of East Aurora SD 131, West Aurora SD 129, Indian Prairie SD 204, or Oswego SD 308, who are passionate about youth development and are looking for meaningful summer employment.

You’ll help implement, supervise, and evaluate engaging activities including sports, arts, life skills, team building, and leadership development to keep our members active, inspired, and learning all summer long!

Essential Duties:

• Plan and lead quality programs for youth that are fun, safe, and encourage participation.
• Provide guidance and positive role modeling.
• Mentor and motivate youth, volunteers, and peers throughout programming.
• Keep records of attendance, schedules, and participant engagement.
• Attend staff meetings and required training sessions.
• Supervise a group of at least 15 members.
• Assist with serving snacks and performing program-related clerical/housekeeping duties.
• Always prioritize safety of members during all onsite and offsite activities.
• Other duties as assigned.

Relationships:

• Internal:  Daily interaction with Club staff, members, and supervisors.
• External: Maintain positive relationships with schools, parents, and community organizations.
