Our Training Program
Gellert Health's orientation and 2-week training program supports and prepares every new hire to be successful in their job. The program is designed by a Behavioral Health Professional (BHP) and other subject matter experts to ensure a comprehensive introduction for new employees. This holistic approach enhances employee satisfaction and promotes a productive and positive work atmosphere.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
This is a contract role as a Behavioral Heath Trainer & Supervisor at Gellert Health in Phoenix, AZ. The role involves providing continuing education, supervision and guidance to our Health Navigators, ensuring delivery of quality patient care within the scope of their role, and compliance with AHCCCS regulations to support the well-being of patients. Our Health Navigators are trained as Peer and Recovery Support Specialists (PRSS) and are considered Behavioral Health Paraprofessionals (BHPP).
You will be a thought leader, collaborator and advisor to support the mission and goals of Gellert Health.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide behavioral health group supervision, training and education on a weekly basis to the Navigation team and the supervisors, reviewing patient cases, providing tools and resources to support professional growth in delivering high quality patient care. Time commitment is 1 to 2 hours a week (currently on Wednesday morning 8am).
- Facilitate impactful training sessions and workshops for behavioral health training modules within Gellert Health’s comprehensive New Employee Orientation program. Orientation occurs on a monthly basis, typically during the 2nd and 3rd week of each month. Time commitment is 8 hours a month (1 full day or 2 half days).
- Collaborate with supervisors and managers to evaluate and improve training program to enhance employee skills and engagement.
- Ensure compliance with AHCCCS Requirements within the scope of practice.
- Be a trusted subject matter expert to the Leadership team.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of experience as LCSW or LPC
- Must hold a valid LCSW or LPC license in AZ with good standing
- Experience as a supervisor or trainer in a healthcare setting
- Strong knowledge of behavioral health practices and regulations
- Experience working with community-based organizations, underserved populations (Medicaid / AHCCCS)
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities and able to support professional development

COMPENSATION
This is a contracted 1099 position. The rate is determined based on the scope of work in this role.
