Job Summary


Work with the team to execute the daily dispatch to produce quality work in a safe environment. The right candidate will plan, organize and recommend strategies to ensure that the product is manufactured safely, successfully and in accordance with all customer specifications. 


Job Responsibilities


  • Maintain production efficiencies, monitoring product quality and work priorities in area.
  • Work with employees to achieve departmental goals.
  • Promote safety and accident prevention by continually ensuring employees always follow safety guidelines.
  • Train or facilitate training of employees.
  • Schedule work and balance loads to maximize efficiency.
  • Pursue Continuous Improvement by focusing on operational changes that result in cost savings while maintaining quality standards. 
  • Participate in Daily Tier meetings to facilitate communication (as needed by supervisor).
  • Elevate employee issues and concerns to the Production Supervisor.
Requirements

Education and Experience


  • Training in safe work environments preferred
  • Previous manufacturing leadership experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Be customer oriented and courteous
  • Facilitate team participation with training and motivation
  • Utilize problem solving skills and techniques to resolve issues. Escalate these opportunities as necessary.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work  


This is a full-time, hourly position. Typical days and hours are Monday – Friday 6:00 am to 2:30 pm.


Physical Demands


  • Lift up to 50 lbs. maximum.
  • Stand/walk 8-12 hours/day on a hard surface.
  • Work long hours in a warm or cold work environment.
