MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
2nd Shift
MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN – Performs detailed phases of tool room/machinist/maintenance work. Performs duties associated with all areas of production due to maintenance issues.
INTRODUCTION: This position reports to Facility & Maintenance Manager. It is solely accountable for the fulfillment of all assigned duties and has authority delegated commensurate with assigned responsibilities.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY: Include, but are not limited to:
a) Welding (MIG) due to maintenance issues.
b) Repair and maintain weld fixtures.
c) Operation of all tool room machinery.
d) Building prototype products and test units.
e) Daily and monthly maintenance, which include monthly fire extinguisher check, monthly housekeeping audit, maintenance records and internal auditor temporarily.
f) Manage the preventative maintenance program to include; performing the pm schedule as assigned on the maintenance calendar, complete all documentation, and place all documents in their proper locations in the maintenance folders.
g) Any additional duties that have not been specifically stated, but which may be assigned and those that are logically and properly inherent to this position.
REQUIREMENTS:
a) Ability to gain knowledge and perform in all areas of production.
b) Experience in MIG welding.
c) Knowledge of basic tool room skills preferred.
d) Ability to obtain JOST International Fork Truck Certification.
e) Must be able to work flexible work schedule.
f) Ability to gain knowledge of company products. Comply with quality, environmental, safety and JOST company policies and procedures.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
a) Work is generally performed in a production plant 100% of time
b) While performing duties of this job, the employee will regularly; stand, walk, reach, bend, twist and occasionally will be required to stoop, kneel, lift, pull or move objects of 50 pounds or less with or without assistance.
