 Job Summary: The Receiving Inspection Lead is responsible for providing work direction to staff and assists with daily scheduling of priorities and  review of documentation for specification compliance by inspecting materials upon receipt and reviewing documentation to ensure specifications comply with customer flow downs. 


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 

1. Examines supplier documentation to verify conformance to requirements. 

2. Follows product specific Inspection Plans by inspecting products to determine compliance  with order specifications and company’s quality control systems. 

3. Completes documentation to show inspections and acceptance of incoming materials to be  used for production. 

4. Reports product nonconformance by following the Tech Ord NCR process.  

5. Performs other work related duties as assigned. 

Requirements

 REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident of the United States (ITAR restrictions). 

2. Must be at least 18 years of age to work at this facility. 

3. Must be eligible to possess explosives under the Safe Explosives Act of 2003 (as  amended) as required by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) for all employees of Tech Ord. 

4. High School diploma or GED is required.  

5. Background in quality assurance process and/or production environment is preferred. 

6. Familiarity with common measuring instruments as well as conventional and geometric  tolerance is preferred.  

7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel and Word; ability to learn  and become proficient in our internal computer programs and applications. 

8. Ability to identify and prioritize workload as well as work independently to accomplish  tasks using time management skills with minimal supervision. 

9. Understanding of ISO requirements is preferred. 

10. Ability to communicate and document effectively in English. 

11. Ability to work effectively with other employees as part of a team as well as ability to  work independently to accomplish tasks using time management skills with minimal  supervision. 

12. Excellent organizational skills.

5. Lifting of 10 pounds is required. Must be able to move materials up to 50 pounds with  assistance by lifting, pushing, or pulling. 6. Bending, squatting, or kneeling is required to move materials as well as to perform other  duties such as filing. 

7. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability  to adjust focus when viewing a computer monitor. 

8. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving  mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical  shock, and explosives.  

9. Ear protection is required as identified throughout the facility. 

10. Where required employees must wear a minimum of 50 percent cotton clothing including  undergarments to mitigate electrostatic discharge (ESD). Employees must also wear  company issued safety footwear.
