Job Summary:
The NP will provide primary and specialized care, diagnosing and treating patients, prescribing medications, and promoting overall wellness. This role requires strong clinical skills, critical thinking, and a commitment to patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history and physical exams.
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Prescribe medications and treatments following state and federal regulations.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, and imaging.
- Provide health education and counseling on disease prevention, lifestyle choices, and wellness.
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and healthcare teams to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in electronic health systems.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Adhere to all legal and ethical healthcare guidelines.
Requirements:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing (MSN/DNP) from an accredited program.
- Valid Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in the state of practice.
- Certification from an accredited body (e.g., AANP, ANCC) in the appropriate specialty.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of clinical experience (preferred).
- Strong diagnostic, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Knowledge of electronic health records (EHR) and medical software.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Podiatry and Wound Care
- BLS/ACLS certification.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with healthcare professionals.
Work Environment:
- Clinical setting.
- May involve standing for extended periods
