Requirements

Skills & Conditions

  • Previous experience as a baker or in a bakery environment is preferred. 
  • Tasks include mixing and kneading dough, following recipes, ensuring quality control, and managing inventory for baking supplies.
  • Knowledge of workstation set up and maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhere to food safety guidelines, and collaborate with the kitchen staff to meet the restaurant's menu needs. 
  • Thorough knowledge of menu items and service procedures.
  • Ability to take direction and work in a team environment and to work calmly and effectively under pressure.
  • Must have problem solving abilities, be self-motivated, and organized.
  • This position will spend 100% of the time standing or walking.
  • Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours in length.
  • Must be able to exert well-paced ability to maneuver between functions occurring simultaneously.
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis.
  • May be required to lift food items weighing up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
  • Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.
  • Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with supervisors and other employees.
  • Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.  
  • Knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment.
  • Ability to follow recipes and adjust as necessary.
  • Attention to detail and creativity, especially for baked goods
