Light's Welding is part of GSM Industrial, a regional leader since 1983 in industrial fabrication, installation and mechanical contracting.  Light's Welding is seeking a  Crane Operator/Millwright.  The Crane Operator / Millwright is a dual-role position responsible for performing both industrial lifting operations and mechanical installation/fabrication tasks. This role will primarily drive and operate a swing cab truck crane based out of the Lights Welding location in Annville, PA, supporting agricultural and industrial lifting needs. It will also provide crane support to GSM Industrial’s operation in Lancaster, PA, GSM Roofing’s location in Ephrata, PA, and at job sites throughout the region.

This position is Safety-Sensitive and includes tasks or duties that could affect the safety and health of the employee performing the task or others. Safety-Sensitive duties include operating swing cab, carry deck, and other truck-mounted cranes. This position will support general millwright and fabrication work including welding, mechanical installation, equipment rigging, maintenance of equipment and structural fit-up. Operating tools such as forklifts, hand/power tools, welding equipment, and overhead hoists

Qualifications

• Valid PA Crane Operator License
• Swing Cab Crane Certification (NCCCO or equivalent)
• Valid Class A CDL 
• Minimum 2 years of crane operation experience in construction or industrial environments
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, load charts, and rigging diagrams
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification required
• Proficient in welding techniques (GMAW, FCAW, SMAW, etc.) preferred 
• Mechanically inclined and experienced with field installations and construction sites
• Capable of lifting 75 lbs. and working at heights and in variable weather
• Independent decision-making skills with sound judgment in the field
• Customer-focused attitude and clear communication with project teams
• Flexible and dependable for varied job schedules and on-site requirements

Working Conditions

• Frequent travel to regional job sites with occasional overnight stays
• Overtime, weekends, and early morning start times are common depending on job needs
• Work involves outdoor exposure and physically demanding task
