Summary: As a Business Analyst at PenChecks, you will play a critical role in bridging the gap between our technical development team and our financial products and services. You will be responsible for analyzing data, identifying business trends, and providing insights to drive strategic decisions. Responsibilities
- Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business objectives, elicit requirements, and document detailed specifications for software development projects.?
- Data Analysis: Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies, and generate actionable insights for improving financial products and services.?
- Process Mapping: Evaluate existing business processes and propose improvements to optimize processes and reduce operational costs.?
- Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments, monitor regulatory compliance, and implement strategies to mitigate financial and operational risks.?
- Business Modeling: Develop financial models, forecasts, and projections to support strategic planning, budgeting, and decision-making.?
- Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation and growth.?
- Report Generation: Create comprehensive reports and dashboards to communicate findings, insights, and recommendations to stakeholders and management.?
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Collaborate with quality assurance teams and end-users to ensure software solutions meet business requirements and expectations.?
- Documentation: Maintain clear and organized documentation of business requirements, processes, and project progress.?
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, developers, and other teams to ensure alignment between business goals and technical solutions.?
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.??
- A master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CBAP, CFA) is a plus.?
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst in the FinTech industry or related financial services.?
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.?
- Proficiency in data analysis tools, such as Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools.?
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present complex information to non-technical stakeholders.?
- Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance in the FinTech sector.?
- Experience with project management methodologies and tools.?
- Familiarity with software development processes and methodologies (e.g., Agile Scrum/Kanban).?
- Attention to detail and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality work.?
