Description

Dr. Richard Weigand is looking for an experienced and dedicated Dental Patient Care Coordinator to join the team. The primary role of the Front Office Coordinator is to partner with clinicians to provide a comfortable and welcoming experience for our patients while maintaining a financially viable practice.


In this role, the Coordinator will be a contact for our patients and will set the tone for their experience. They maintain productive schedules, verify patient insurance information, and collect all co-pays at checkout. This position will report to the Office Manager. The hourly salary range for this position is $20-26 per hour depending on experience.


Work Schedule: Mon- Thur. 6:30am-4pm


What You’ll Be Accountable For:

  • New patient and hygiene coordination
  • Maintain productive schedules and confirm appointments.
  • Verify insurance coverage and benefits.
  • Gain financial commitment from patients and collect co-payments.
  • Present treatment plans and educate patients on their benefits.
  • Obtain necessary insurance pre-authorizations.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, as well as State, Federal and other regulatory bodies.
  • Respond to patient billing, treatment, and benefit inquiries.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the office manager.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent
  • 2 years dental office experience required
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Patient advocate; empathetic, adaptable, and ethical
  • Ability to multitask effectively
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Open Dental software preferred
